Our Board

Governance

MPRHC is governed by a skill-based Board of Directors, elected in accordance with the Constitution. The Board brings extensive experience to its approach in setting the strategic direction for our organisation and takes the governance of the organisation very seriously with a strong focus on accountability and transparency.

  • Des Jones

    Chairperson

    Born in Brewarrina New South Wales and currently living in Wentworth.

    Des is the current Chairperson of Murdi Paaki Regional Housing Corporation Limited. Des is heavily involved at the local community level and is the Deputy Chair of Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation.

    He is also a member of the Dareton Local Land Council and Mildura Aboriginal Corporation. He is affiliated as a voting member of the National Congress.

  • Ross Hampton

    Director

    Born in Lake Cargelligo and currently living in Mildura, Ross has an extensive background in Aboriginal Housing in Western NSW through his employment history with the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office from 2001 – 2006, Chief Executive Officer with Murdi Paaki Regional Housing Corporation Ltd from 2008 – 2011 and more recently with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council as Zone Director for the Western Region from 2011 – 2016.

    Ross is a voting member with the Dareton Local Aboriginal Land Council and self-employed as a consultant.

  • Douglas Dennis Snr

    Director

    Living in Bourke NSW Douglas has a background in housing previously holding the position of Chairperson of Nulla Nulla LALC for 3 years.

    He has also held positions with Dumbi Place, Widjeri Co-op and Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) program.

  • Kendy Rogers

    Director

    Born in Broken Hill NSW, Kendy has a background in housing being a former employee of Murdi Paaki Regional Housing Corporation for over 9 years.

    Kendy has completed Cert IV in Social Housing and Diploma in Business, and is the Governance Support Officer in her current role with Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation.

    Kendy is a member of the Broken Hill Land Council and Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation and is active in the communities of Broken Hill and Wilcannia both personally and professionally.

    Kendy has been employed at Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation for 10 years.
